EDUCATION
Must have completed at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in Economics and hold a Masterâs degree (official transcript(s) conferring degree must accompany the application). EXPERIENCE Minimum of one (1) year of college level teaching experience or five (5) to ten (10) years of related work experience required.Experience teaching Economics and preparing curriculum material desired.Teaching experience at the college level preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESWilling and able to teach day or evening classes at a number of sites around the cityKnowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software are required, including Blackboard Vista, or similar online softwareExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community, and student populationPossess good organizational and planning skillsDemonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilitiesDemonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning-centered environmentSelf-disciplined and able to effectively manage othersThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
