Job Description
Classification Title:
HPWT CUSTODIAL WORKER II
Classification Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience; or completion of the ninth grade and three years of experience.
Job Description:
Delivers and set-up of stages, tables, chairs, podium, materials and equipment for commencement ceremonies, departments programs, and other special events. Assembles and disassembles furniture as required. Moves and transports furniture for departments and academic units. Delivers and installs restroom and hand sanitizing dispensers.
Assists HPWT Zones with cleaning and maintaining as required. Specifically, the cleaning of halls, offices, classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, lab, gym areas, locker room, elevators which includes sweeping, dusting dust-mopping, wet mopping, spot-mopping, and spot washing and cleaning of walls, doors, and partitions. Assist the Department by cleaning all entrances, entrance walks, steps patios and concourses. Empties and cleans all waste cans, trashcans, recycle bins, water fountains, and doormats.
Assists HPWT Zones in other tasks as assigned or required.
Required to complete training prescribed by Facilities Services Training and Education Department, and the University's Compliance Training.
Required to follow and adhere to all Building Services Standard Operating Procedures, and Facilities Services Policies and Directives
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
7:00AM to 3:30PM (Monday through Friday).
Workdays and shift times may vary in response to customer needs for special event coverage and/or departmental needs. Some overtime may be required.
Total hours per week is 40.
Management retains the right and discretion to modify schedules, building assignments, shifts and/or days for operational purposes.
Position is considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy.
Expected Salary:
$16.00 to $18.95 Hourly
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience; or completion of the ninth grade and three years of experience.
Preferred:
EDUCATION & TRAINING
High school diploma and two (2) years of commercial custodial experience.
Knowledge of commercial cleaning technics and standards.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machines.
Ability to work in elevated environments.
