Job Summary/Description

Leads all aspects of the intercollegiate women’s soccer program. Oversees recruiting, student-athlete development, training and conditioning, scheduling, practice planning, competition preparation, and academic progress.

Typical Duties/Job Duties

• Directs day-to-day operations of the women’s soccer program, including scheduling contests, coordinating travel, and managing equipment purchasing and inventory.
• Adheres to established budget guidelines and oversees program resources.
• Recruits, develops, and retains qualified student-athletes. Monitors academic progress and eligibility.
• Supervises assistant coaches, graduate assistants, student workers, and volunteers. Implements strategies to build and sustain a competitive program.
• Supports departmental fundraising efforts and promotes community engagement opportunities for student-athletes.
• Ensures full compliance with NCAA, LSC, Angelo State University, and Texas Tech University System policies and regulations.
• Represents Angelo State University and its athletics program in a positive manner at the local, regional, and national levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of intercollegiate women’s soccer.
• Ability to train an develop student-athletes.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes.
• Skills in planning, organizing, and implementing programs necessary to build and conduct a successful women’s intercollegiate soccer program.
• Skills in interpersonal relationships.
• Strong support and adherence to the “Core Values” of Angelo State University and the athletic department.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated successful women’s soccer coaching experience.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Successful intercollegiate women’s soccer coaching experience.
• Previous NCAA Division II coaching experience.
