Job Summary/Description
Leads all aspects of the intercollegiate women’s soccer program. Oversees recruiting, student-athlete development, training and conditioning, scheduling, practice planning, competition preparation, and academic progress.
Typical Duties/Job Duties
- Directs day-to-day operations of the women’s soccer program, including scheduling contests, coordinating travel, and managing equipment purchasing and inventory.
- Adheres to established budget guidelines and oversees program resources.
- Recruits, develops, and retains qualified student-athletes. Monitors academic progress and eligibility.
- Supervises assistant coaches, graduate assistants, student workers, and volunteers. Implements strategies to build and sustain a competitive program.
- Supports departmental fundraising efforts and promotes community engagement opportunities for student-athletes.
- Ensures full compliance with NCAA, LSC, Angelo State University, and Texas Tech University System policies and regulations.
- Represents Angelo State University and its athletics program in a positive manner at the local, regional, and national levels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of intercollegiate women’s soccer.
- Ability to train an develop student-athletes.
- Ability to motivate student-athletes.
- Skills in planning, organizing, and implementing programs necessary to build and conduct a successful women’s intercollegiate soccer program.
- Skills in interpersonal relationships.
- Strong support and adherence to the “Core Values” of Angelo State University and the athletic department.
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated successful women’s soccer coaching experience.
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Successful intercollegiate women’s soccer coaching experience.
- Previous NCAA Division II coaching experience.
