Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Supports Kennesaw State University by serving as a primary contact and counselor for prospective KSU Graduate Degree seeking students. Assists recruitment efforts by attending regional career fairs to advertise, market and recruit prospective graduate applicants. Serves as the direct contact with assisting prospective graduate students throughout the enrollment process. Responsible for responding to graduate program inquiries for information from prospective students by telephone, walk in and email or live chat. Responsible for maintaining daily and weekly goals to contact prospective students in mid-application and move applications from incomplete to complete and ready for review. Responsible for assisting with graduate student registration and required graduate student counseling while enrolled at KSU.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license

One (1) year relative work experience

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Prior experience using application CRMs preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Able to learn and use operating best practices of the department and the University
Able to create and sustain effective working relationships with faculty and staff across a variety of academic disciplines.
Able to support learning through performance of essential job functions
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of graduate education admission recruitment practices and understands the requirements for admissions to Graduate Programs
Skills
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Advanced user of Ellucian Banner
Advanced user of TargetX, to include, creation of views, conditional logic, application changes, form cloning and creation, communication plan logic, creation of campaigns and communication plans and manipulation of data within TargetX for export to stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with recruiting graduate students for programs with KSU
- Represents Kennesaw State University in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current graduate students
- Interacts effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students and other customers of our department
- Researches and provides accurate information about academic and transfer policies, admission procedures, and degree programs, including academic requirements
- Evaluates college transcripts to determine whether students meet admission guidelines. Reads, interprets, and evaluates students¿ academic credentials
- Collaborates with other departments as necessary to define pathways for admission
- Interviews and counsels¿ students through the admission process including reviewing credentials, facilitating appointments with appropriate staff, faculty and university departments
- Manages all aspects of the admission funnel, including judgments on admission status
- Ensures admitted students complete the enrollment and financial aid process through matriculation
- Assists with the management all outside recruiting events and travel based on past data and trends
- Assists with planning, coordination and execution of open houses and information sessions for graduate students
- Actively recommends and assists with execution of strategies for recruitment and retention of graduate students
- Contributes and collaborates with departmental staff and other university departments in creation of recruiting and marketing materials
- Handles all information with tact and discretion and recognizes the confidential nature of university business
- Serves as a member of the graduate college recruitment team
Educational Requirements
