Job Summary

The position transforms complex financial data into actionable insights to assist senior leadership, academic units, and administrative departments in data-informed decision-making. This role supports compliance with University System of Georgia (USG) financial policies, Board of Regents requirements, and institutional reporting standards.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze financial reports, dashboards, and institutional performance metrics.
- Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and budget-to-actual comparisons.
- Support the annual budget development process and provide analytical support for budget hearings.
- Assist with financial forecasting, enrollment-based revenue projections, and multi-year financial modeling.
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for university leadership.
- Extract, validate, and manage financial data from ERP systems such as Banner, Workday, or PeopleSoft.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across financial reporting platforms.
- Respond to internal and external data requests including audits and regulatory reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or data analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Experience working with financial or enterprise reporting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Public Administration, or related field.
- Experience in higher education or public sector finance.
- Knowledge of USG financial policies and reporting requirements.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
