General Summary Of Position
The Department of Physics and Applied Physics at University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach a range of classes including calculus-based introductory physics courses for engineers, algebra-based introductory physics courses for life science majors and general science requirement courses for non-STEM majors. The appointment is scheduled to begin in September 2025 or January 2026.
Minimum Qualifications (Required)

Minimum Qualifications (Required)
- Applicants must have earned a Ph.D degree in physics or closely related discipline
- College Level Teaching Experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write English clearly.
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty and diverse populations.
- Familiarity with Class data management systems (Canvas)
- Familiarity with Online HW platforms
