The Executive Director of Community Engagement provides strategic leadership for UMass Lowell’s efforts to build, align, and elevate community-engaged partnerships between the university and the greater Lowell community, by developing institutional infrastructure, fostering cross-campus collaboration, and strengthening reciprocal partnerships with community-based organizations, municipalities, and regional stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
This being an internal opportunity, only current UML Employees, irrespective of Bargaining units are eligible to apply for this position.
This position is full-time, benefited and non-unit professional in grade P25. Anticipated salary based on range. Minimum: $138,113, 25th quartile: $158,830 and midpoint of $179,547.

- Minimum 10 years in comm engagement, higher education admin or related field
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, facilitate collaboration, and steward complex partnerships across academic areas
- Preference for candidates with a combination of community engagement and higher education
