Development Associate Director: Minimum: $74,200 - Midpoint: $100,200 (Salaried E12)

Development Director: Minimum: $83,500 - Midpoint: $112,700 (Salaried E13)

Department/Organization: 301105 - Development

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The University of Alabama is receiving applications for a position in Advancement. Consideration is being given for both the Associate Director and Director of Development positions.

Additional Department Summary: With a reporting structure to the Office of Development and the Honors College Dean, this position focuses on developing major-gift prospect portfolios of potential donors, cultivating and soliciting these prospects for current, pledged and planned gifts for the Honors College.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Development Associate Director: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience; OR master's degree and some development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience. Frequent travel required.

Development Director: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience. Frequent travel required.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Ability to travel frequently. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Skills and Knowledge: Good public relations, oral and written communications, excellent organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills required. Ability to use personal computer for word processing and standard software packages.
