Responsibilities
- Clean any assigned buildings, classrooms, restrooms, and drinking fountains.
- Dusts and cleans chalkboards, offices, and flat surfaces; washes windows, walls, glass doors, stairs, elevators, and classroom equipment and any tile or carpeted surface; may work from a ladder; polishes brass.
- Collects and empties trash.
- Washes all dirty or soiled cleaning towels and mops.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and shampoos carpets; wipes down upholstery to ensure cleanliness.
- Reports damaged structures and equipment; maintains entranceways to buildings.
- Must be able to report to work on time and be dependable in attendance.
- Performs related work as required.
- All other duties assigned.

- Some custodial experience.
- Ability to work long hours at manual tasks.
- A current, valid driver's license or ID.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and tools used in custodial services.
- Knowledge of safe work practices.
- Ability to exercise care in exposure to chemical, mechanical, or electrical hazards.
- Ability to follow routine oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work long hours at manual tasks
- Ability to work while intermittently standing, stooping, walking, bending, or crouching.
- Ability to frequently lift light
- Ability to work in an office or stockroom, in a variety of college buildings, and outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather.
- The employee may be exposed to noise, dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, contagious or infectious disease, or irritant chemicals.
