Description
Reporting to the Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences (SLHS) Department Chair and Clinic Director, the Coordinator of Speech-Language Pathology oversees and manages clinic scheduling and other essential operations of an academic speech-language-hearing clinic.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Contacts prospective clients, schedules appointments, and provides follow-up.
- Coordinates scheduling for supervisors, clients, and students involved in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Oversees room assignments and observation schedules for undergraduate students.
- Maintains session schedules, records, and documentation using the electronic medical records system database.
- Trains and supervises graduate students providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to adult and child clients in individual and specialty clinic settings.
- Supports and trains newly hired clinical supervisors.
- Coordinates program development initiatives with the Director.
- Participates actively in departmental meetings and committees.
- Collaborates with support staff and interdisciplinary colleagues in the Saltzman Community Services Center.
- Partners with the chair and graduate coordinator on clinical and academic scheduling for both typical and atypical students.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree required.
- At least 5 years’ leadership and administrative experience in Higher Education.
- New York State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and ASHA CCC.
