Job Summary
The Coordinator of External Service, Potential Development, and Partnership Support is a part-time role that identifies, develops, and supports external funding and service opportunities for the College of Education. The position focuses primarily on state¿level initiatives, including opportunities with the Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Professional Standards Commission, Georgia Governor's Office of Student Achievement, and other relevant national, state, and local agencies. The Coordinator matches College faculty expertise with appropriate funding and service opportunities, represents the College as a potential service provider when appropriate, and maintains awareness of current and emerging funding priorities. The role advises the Dean on opportunities aligned with College priorities, collaborates with the Dean's designee for funded research, and works closely with the University's Office of Innovation and Research. The Coordinator occasionally represents the College and Dean to state agencies and public school districts.
Responsibilities

External Funding Opportunity Identification & Monitoring - Identify, track, and analyze current and emerging external funding and service opportunities relevant to the College of Education,
with a primary focus on Georgia state agencies and aligned national and local entities.

Faculty Expertise Matching & Opportunity Development - Match College of Education faculty expertise to appropriate funding and service opportunities; assist in shaping potential
projects, partnerships, and service roles where the College can serve as a provider or collaborator.

Advising, Coordination, and Internal Collaboration - Advise the Dean on opportunities aligned with College priorities; coordinate with the Dean's designee for funded research; and
collaborate with the University's Office of Innovation and Research to support compliant and strategic engagement.

External Representation & Relationship Building - Represent the College and the Dean, as appropriate, to state agencies, public school districts, and external partners; maintain relationships with key education stakeholders and funding entities to support future opportunities.

Experience working in P-12 education, higher education, or education-focused organizations, preferably within Georgia Demonstrated experience identifying, developing, or supporting external funding, grants, contracts, or service opportunities Familiarity with Georgia education agencies (e.g., Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Professional Standards Commission, Georgia Governor's Office of Student Achievement) or comparable state-level entities Ability to analyze institutional strengths and match faculty or organizational expertise to funding or service opportunities Experience communicating and coordinating with senior leadership, faculty, or cross-unit teams Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent an organization professionally to external partners
