Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication or organizational communication
OR
Bachelor’s in any of the above
AND
Master’s in drama/ theater arts, mass communication or English
OR
Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
OR
The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
Commitment to diversity. All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff. Salary Range: $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lecture unit rate, $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lab parity unit rate, $1113.42 - $1221.77 per lab unit rate

Special Instructions Summary: SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARY
This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.
This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
