Valparaiso University College of Nursing and Health Professions invites applications the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical-Surgical Nursing. Located one hour southeast of Chicago on a 310-acre campus, Valpo is a comprehensive university with an enrollment of over 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students. This position is a full-time, 9-month clinical track appointment, beginning August 2026. The responsibilities of this position include teaching undergraduate courses in the BSN program. Additional responsibilities will include working collaboratively with faculty within the CONHP and the university; providing service to the university, profession, and the practice community; and developing a research and scholarly agenda of contributions to the field. The successful candidate will hold an earned master's in nursing (doctorate preferred), and have three or more years of academic experience, inclusive of medical-surgical health nursing. The position is announced at the assistant professor level, but outstanding candidates could be considered at a higher rank with multiple years of teaching experience, an established research agenda, and scholarly accomplishments.

The College of Nursing and Health Professions has programs in nursing (BSN and DNP), exercise science (BSXS), health science (BSHS), healthcare leadership (BSHL), healthcare administration (MHCA), public health (BSPH and MPH), physician assistant studies (MSPA), and occupational therapy (DrOT, OTD.)
