Clinical Responsibilities
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida provides comprehensive women's health services, delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining a strong commitment to education and research.
Negotiable; commensurate with education and experience
Minimum Requirements:
MD or DO, or equivalent degree required. Must be board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) with ongoing clinical activity. All physicians must be ABOG Board certified/Board-Eligible.
Must be eligible for Florida licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants must apply online. Applicants should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three professional references with contact information. Applications will be kept confidential and references will not be contacted without the permission of applicants.
Selected candidate will be required to provide an official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered "official" if a designation of "Issued to Student" is visible. Degrees earned from an education institution outside of the United States are required to be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approval by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), which can be found at http://naces.org/.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide care in early pregnancy management clinics and complex contraception clinics.
- Perform second-trimester procedures in the operating room.
- Participate in inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including Labor & Delivery coverage.
- Care for patients qualifying for Florida's pregnancy care law exceptions (fatal fetal conditions and severe maternal indications).
- Collaborate with faculty across the department to advance patient care, education, and research in family planning.
- Teach and mentor medical students and residents in obstetrics, gynecology, and family planning.
- Contribute to didactic, simulation, and clinical education within the residency program.
- Participate in departmental committees, conferences, and academic activities.
- Engage in scholarly activity and/or clinical research, with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration across UF Health.

- Active involvement in clinical innovation, resident education, and NIH- and foundation-supported research.
