Job Duties
- Work with children ages 6–12 years old
- Implement and support various program activities, including sports and games, aquatics, creative arts, and more
- Lead a group of 8–10 campers through daily activities and transitions
- Collaborate with camp supervisors to develop ideas and address concerns, including behavior issues or bullying
- Build positive relationships with campers and support their social development
- Work with fellow counselors to maintain a cohesive and supportive camp environment
- Eat lunch with campers and help maintain a clean and organized eating area
- Demonstrate enthusiasm to encourage camper participation
- Instruct campers on emergency procedures and ensure accountability during drills or emergencies
- Manage daily sign‑in and sign‑out, ensuring release only to approved individuals
- Encourage respect for camp equipment, facilities, and personal property
- Attend weekly all‑staff meetings
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating cleanliness, punctuality, teamwork, sportsmanship, and good manners
