The Mathematics Department at The University of Alabama invites applications for one renewable contract full-time instructor position. The appointment will begin on January 1, 2026 and is a renewable contract based on funding, availability, and performance.

Detailed Position Information

The Mathematics Department at The University of Alabama invites applications for

one renewable contract full-time instructor position. The appointment will begin on January 1, 2026, and is a renewable contract based on funding, availability, and performance. The successful candidates will primarily teach lower division courses ranging among college algebra, precalculus and trigonometry, and calculus. An ideal candidate will have experience teaching in both large and small lectures, learning management systems (such as Blackboard), and have some experience working in a mathematics tutoring center or similar environment.

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field

with at least 18 credit hours of graduate level mathematics.
