With more than 80 majors and 100 minors, the College of Arts and Sciences is the academic heart of the university. Department Information
The Department of Economics has about 28 full-time faculty members, 75 Ph.D. students, and approximately 1,000 undergraduate majors. It is a vibrant place for innovative research and learning. The department successfully hired three junior faculty members in the last two years and plans to hire 4-5 new faculty members in the academic year of 2025-26. We are committed to growing the faculty size in the next few years. In addition, the department will move to a new building in 2026, which is in the very center of the campus.
