Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric psychology with a focus on psycho-oncology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Pediatric psychology internship and fellowship required; Psychology license or license-eligible in PA and NJ.
Teaching responsibilities may include didactic lectures to interns, fellows, residents, as well as medical students from the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Other teaching responsibilities may include clinical supervision of psychology externs and interns; lectures to pediatric residents, hematology/oncology fellows, and psychiatry residents. Excellence in teaching is required.
Clinical responsibilities may include pediatric psychology consultation and intervention for patients treated in the CHOP Cancer Center including clinical services and program development for patients and families treated at the Voorhees Specialty Care Center and other Cancer Center sites. There are opportunities for engagement in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in the Cancer Center and the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences including patient and caregiver support and staff wellness.
