The Dewar College of Education and Human Services seeks applicants for Associate Dean. This is a fiscal faculty ranked administrative position beginning July 1, 2026. Rank will be either Associate or Full Professor.

Responsibilities
Department Summary
Assist the Dean in the administration of the operations and functions of the College. The Associate Dean has signature and leadership authority in designated areas of responsibility for the college as determined by the Dean.
Typical Allocation of Duties:
Manage and supervise - 40%
Manage and supervise college faculty, staff, accreditation, programs, curriculum, and events.
Development and budget - 20%
Participate in the budget development process. Participate in college development efforts.
Collaboration - 25%
Collaborate with internal and external partners on university-wide programs. Participate in student recruitment. Serve on university and/or University system committees.
Scholarship - 15%
Engage in scholarly activities and encourage scholarship among faculty and staff.

- An earned doctorate in a discipline within the College
- A record of teaching, scholarship, and service excellence, sufficient to qualify for the rank of Associate Professor in the college
- Administrative experience in higher education at the department chair level or higher
- History of increasing administrative responsibilities
