This Assistant Professor position will be integrated into the Department of Psychology, the Institute for Engaged Aging (IEA) (https://www.clemson.edu/centers-institutes/aging/) and the South Carolina Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (SC-ADRC, https://www.sc-adrc.org/) to support multiple funded research studies, research proposals, infrastructure development for data management and analytics across the IEA, as well as to provide mentorship to trainees. Expertise in data analytics is essential with priority areas including, but not limited to, randomized controlled trials, digital biomarkers, or intensive longitudinal data analysis. Persons with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) expertise is strongly desired. The ideal candidate will have a strong research orientation with potential for extramural support, and a commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education.
Clemson University is an R1 Carnegie institution that is currently No. 36 in the US News and World Report ranking of the nation's top public universities. The campus is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near outstanding year-round recreational opportunities.
The Department of Psychology is a research-oriented department with 39 full-time faculty, more than 1100 undergraduate majors and more than 60 graduate students (http://www.clemson.edu/cbshs/departments/psychology/). We currently have PhD programs in Health Psychology, Human Factors Psychology, and Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and an MS program in Applied Psychology.
