Job Description:
The Department of Statistics at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for three full-time, nine-month, tenure-accruing positions at the rank of assistant professor, beginning August 16, 2026. Applicants will have a Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, computer science or related field. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes a full benefits package.
We are interested in candidates with research interests in causal inference or Bayesian methodology, and we also welcome strong applicants from the broader fields of statistics and machine learning. The job duties include teaching, research, and service.
The Department of Statistics has a proud tradition of hosting distinguished statisticians and consistently producing world-class research. The University of Florida is one of the nation's flagship public universities, known for its research-intensive mission, strong institutional support, and a highly collaborative academic environment.
