Job Description
Miami University (Oxford, OH) is announcing a search for an Associate/Assistant Professor in Sport Psychology to teach undergraduate and graduate courses beginning Fall Semester 2026. Responsibilities include teaching sport psychology courses; maintaining an active research agenda; pursuing external funding; advising undergraduate and graduate students; and providing professional service to the department, college, and institution.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in Sport Psychology or closely related field by date of appointment for appointment to Assistant Professor.
Doctorate in Sport Psychology or a closely related field by date of appointment; five years collegiate-level teaching experience with evidence of an established record of high-quality teaching; and an established record in scholarship/research in Sport Psychology or a closely related field, with a strong prospect for continuation for appointment to Associate Professor.
Consideration may be given to candidates with evidence of high-quality instruction, experience teaching sport psychology courses at the college level, and certification attained or in progress as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC).
