Responsibilities
- Responsible for tasks related to the daily functioning of the Honors office, building and tracking Honors courses, programmatic records management, and assisting with purchasing, travel and HR.
- Responsible for daily Honors Program office functions to include but not limited to opening the office at 8am and closing the office at 5pm, front desk reception, assisting students with advising check-in, phone and voicemail management, ensuring supplies are stocked, organizing and managing the break room, submitting facilities requests, and lost and found administration.
- Manages Honors Program course setup, including building courses, updating the HSF calendar and classroom door schedules, maintaining the course tracking database and ensuring accurate coding compliance for departmental honors courses.
- Provides comprehensive administrative assistance in collaboration with UGS fiscal staff including purchasing and receiving of supplies and materials, coordination of faculty and staff travel, management of office moves and new employee office setup, processing awarded funding for Honors scholarships, awards and grants in FS4U and support for Honors HR functions as needed.
- Oversees and responds to communications directed to the main email account, including triaging and forwarding inquiries as appropriate and ensuring individuals are connected with the relevant staff or department for further assistance. Responsible for departmental records management and maintaining updated staff training manuals.
- Assists with planning and implementation of HSF and Honors events. Engages in professional development, serves on committees as needed, and performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Office experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience prioritizing, organizing, and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Knowledge of applicable computer applications including Microsoft Office suite, and basic computer functions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Previous experience in a higher education office.
- Ability to utilize problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
- Knowledge of academic resources available to students.
