What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct - WCPS Dual Enrollment - Behavioral and Social Sciences position at Inside Higher Ed?
Dual enrollment faculty teach courses in the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Teachers are recommended by their school district to teach college courses in their high school. HCC hires teachers who meet the qualifications. Courses are offered in the following disciplines: Administration of Justice, Education, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. The dual enrollment faculty member will work with HCC Behavioral Science and Social Science faculty in the discipline, the Director of the Division, and a Faculty Liaison staff member to set up the college-level course in the D2L learning management system, create an appropriate syllabus, and implement common assignments and assessments for the course. Training is available and required.
Applicants must be current WCPS high school teachers recommended to teach dual enrollment classes by their school district.
Education: To be considered, all applicants must meet the minimum standard for each course and discipline as set forth on the Adjunct Faculty Minimum Credentials document.
