General Job Summary
Adjunct instructors play a vital role in the program's overall instruction. Adjunct instructors bring with them a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences which serve to foster growth in the program and enrich student learning. Adjunct instructors are responsible for structuring and supervising the learning experiences of students in the classroom, labs and in clinical agencies. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an Iowa license, have worked for two full-time years as an RN, or have a health related degree. Adjunct instructors will provide instruction and supervision in the CNA course.

Position involves sitting, standing and/or walking most of the time in a classroom/laboratory/clinic setting. Constant (67-100%) reaching, standing, walking, lifting, dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and viewing various types of close visual work. Frequent (34-66%) stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, carrying, and perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching. Exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally (10-33%). Will travel to other on-campus facilities, off-campus facilities and agencies to teach, attend meetings, etc.

- Exploration of Healthcare Careers: 8/25/26-12/11/2026, Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 am-9:00 am.-Nurse Aide: 8/25/2026-12/11/2026, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays from 7:30 am-9:00 am.
- Patient Care Academy includes two courses. Instructor would not be expected to teach both courses but would have the option to if they desire.
