Summary Statement
Teach credit and continuing education students welding technology, including both textbook theory and hands-on skills. Class will be comprised of both inexperienced students and current welders-in-training. Technologies to be taught include at an entry level: torch cut, plasma cut, and common-metal welding using oxy-fuel, SMAW, MIG, and TIG welding equipment.
This position includes creating a syllabus, class assignments, and tests, and requires occasional administrative tasks using current HCC computer applications the HCC learning management system, and a short list of others. Instructor will report student performance towards overall learning outcomes and facility needs to the lead Industrial Technology faculty member.
Education And Experience
Applicant must have at least five years of continuous, full-time experience as a welding practitioner in a fully-equipped welding facility. Formal training experience and/or an AWS welding credentials preferred.
