Description
Teach state-mandated Group Dynamics and Multiple Offender Program (MOP) courses for individuals convicted of OWI offenses. Facilitate engaging, evidence-based discussions and activities designed to increase awareness of substance use, strengthen decision-making skills, promote personal accountability, and reduce the likelihood of future impaired driving, in accordance with Wisconsin Department of Transportation (Trans 106) requirements.
Pay will vary by course being taught.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean/Instructional Manager, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District. Maintain accurate attendance and course records, verify participant completion requirements, and communicate with students regarding program expectations.
Newly hired instructors will be required to observe a Group Dynamics course in full prior to teaching.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess one qualification from Section 1 and at least one qualification from Section 2 (per DOT Trans 106 Administrative Code). Candidates who do not meet Section 1 requirements may be eligible to complete WCTC-provided training upon hire.
- Two years of occupational experience in traffic safety or a related field, such as driver education, law enforcement, fleet safety management, motor vehicle services OR
- Completed a minimum of 45 hours of college coursework in traffic safety or accident prevention.
- Two years of occupational experience in substance use counseling, education or treatment; OR
- Two years of occupational experience in group process work or group counseling as a treatment or education professional OR
- Completed a minimum of 45 hours in an accredited college level course in the area of group work methods, group counseling or group process.
Preferred Qualification
- Possess the Dept of Transportation Traffic Safety Instructor Certification
- Spanish Language proficiency.
