Description
The Department of Music at Hofstra University seeks a dynamic and experienced educator to contribute to our growing program and invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in Music Education.
Responsibilities Include
- Teach Choral Methods for undergraduates (3 hours instruction per week)
- Supervise student teachers (choral and/or instrumental) in the field (0-3 hours instruction per week)
- Master’s degree in Music Education or related field required
- Demonstrated success in choral music education at the K–12 level
- Previous collegiate teaching and/or mentorship experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and mentorship skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and supporting students from diverse backgrounds
- Terminal degree preferred
