Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory integrity. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
Duties
- Process incoming shipments by verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and maintain accurate records within the warehouse management system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that all items are correctly labeled and packaged.
- Operate order pickers and reach trucks safely to retrieve products from high storage locations.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
- Collaborate with e-commerce teams to fulfill online orders promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Knowledge of construction materials highly preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Experience using RF scanners for inventory management is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of order picking processes, including picking packing techniques for efficient fulfillment.
- Understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
