Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Events & Campaigns
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns alongside the development team, volunteer committees, Board of Directors, and staff
- Support sponsor outreach, donor engagement, event logistics, program development, and post-event follow-up
- Build and nurture relationships with individual donors, corporations, civic groups, and foundations
- Identify new supporters while strengthening relationships with existing donors to grow engagement and giving
- Partner with the Chief Development Officer to identify and connect with major gift prospects
- Support planned giving efforts and help ensure donors feel recognized and appreciated
- Research grant opportunities that align with our mission
- Write and submit proposals, manage deadlines, and collaborate with program staff to ensure strong applications
- Help develop and carry out annual giving campaigns
- Create thoughtful donor communications such as appeals, newsletters, and impact reports
- Ensure donors feel informed, appreciated, and connected to our work
- Maintain accurate donor records
- Track fundraising progress and generate reports
- Use data to help guide decisions and improve outcomes
- Oversee gift processing and acknowledgments
- Support matching gift and tribute programs
- Help create new fundraising initiatives and ensure timely donor recognition
- Work with communications staff to promote fundraising efforts
- Support storytelling and outreach to share our impact and mission
- Stay current on fundraising best practices through learning and networking
- Support the Chief Development Officer and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
- Pitch in where needed-because teamwork is at the heart of what we do
- Possess a bachelor's degree.
- 10 years of experience in non-profit development and fundraising.
- Experience with special event coordination, working with volunteers, annual giving campaigns, and grant writing.
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Have good computer skills – experience with donor database a plus
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
- Ability to perform essential job results, physical tasks and mental tasks.
