Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the sourcing and procurement of goods and services from various suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and specifications.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and develop positive working relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Issue, track, and manage purchase orders.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
- Assist in resolving procurement-related issues and discrepancies.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret useful trends and patterns within data sets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) as well as various ERP systems.
- Familiarity with standard procurement processes and best practices.
- Ability to effectively utilize negotiation skills with vendors/suppliers.
- Ability to identify, visualize, and articulate complex problems and solutions.
- Proactive and solutions oriented.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively.
- Ability to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with employees, business partners, and customers.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to table height.
- Ability to sit or stand in one place for extended periods.
- Ability to use a keyboard and mouse for computer data entry.
