Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing activities on the production floor, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Develop the department's work plan and objectives according to the company's overall planning and objectives, and implement the plans.
• Organize the implementation of the production plan to ensure that the objectives are achieved.
• Responsible for the quality control during the production process, monitor the quality during the production operation from time to time to ensure the qualified rate of finished products.
• Manage assembly line operations, coordinating tasks among team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Utilize forklifts and other power tools safely for material handling, inventory movement, and equipment setup.
• Interpret technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and process specifications to guide assembly and production tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections using measuring instruments and mechanical knowledge to verify product dimensions and quality.
• Responsible for the overall control of production costs, monitoring the use of production materials.
• Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing lean manufacturing practices.
• Train, mentor, and manage production or assembly teams to maintain high performance levels while fostering a safety-conscious culture.
• Ensure manual handling procedures are followed correctly during heavy lifting or material transport activities.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance logs for compliance purposes.

Experience

• Proven factory experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on knowledge of assembly processes.
• Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments proficiently.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and technical specifications.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in mechanical assembly and process troubleshooting.
• Background in managing production or assembly teams within a manufacturing management setting.
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments along with experience implementing safety protocols.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste and improving efficiency.
• Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory control and logistics coordination.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Education:

· Associate’s degree or above in science and engineering related disciplines

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of experience in production management in solar industry, of which 3 years of experience in an equivalent position.

· Have production management concepts and practical production management experience, with strong management skills in standard working hours, cost control, production site management, production safety, etc.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Familiar with PV cell or module production process, process standards of each process, trouble shooting and key control points.

· Skilled in the application of IE, JIT and other scientific management techniques, with a certain degree of planning ability; strong planning ability, good thinking, good communication and coordination skills, organizational skills and innovation ability.
