Position Summary
The C-Tag Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining C-frame (C-tag) presses to support production and finishing operations. This role ensures high-quality output, efficient production, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate C-tag (C-frame) press equipment, including tooling and die changes
- Monitor production runs to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
- Perform routine adjustments to maintain proper alignment, pressure, and output quality
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with customer requirements
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
- Follow all company safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating press equipment (C-frame, punch press, or similar) preferred
- Experience with tooling, die setup, and machine adjustments strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and production specifications
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving equipment
