Inova Northern Virginia Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to support intraoperative imaging in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment. You’ll work alongside experienced surgeons, nurses, and surgical technologists in a collaborative setting where your expertise directly impacts patient outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provide real-time imaging support during surgical procedures using C-arm and mini C-arm equipment
- Monitor and uphold radiation safety standards for patients, physicians, and staff
- Ensure compliance with equipment inspections, dosimeter monitoring, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain proficiency with C-arm, and mini C-arm equipment
- Inspect and maintain protective equipment including lead aprons and shields
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and OR staff to ensure optimal imaging and workflow
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and patient care
- Support overall OR efficiency by assisting with additional perioperative duties as assigned
- Maintains all records for inspections and radiation monitoring
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of an appropriate radiographic technician program. Certification preferred.
- Virginia Radiologic Technologist license required.
- ARRT certification preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with C-arm imaging preferred; OR experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a surgical team
