Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care Float Pool

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Float Pool team. Full Time, Night Shift, 7-7p (3x12's).

Job Responsibilities:

• Float to all five intensive care units at Inova Fairfax Hospital: Trauma, Med/Surg, Neuro, Cardiovascular, and Cardiac Critical Care
• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team
• Consistently provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way
• Incorporates differences into the provision of care. All patient care and interactions are patient and family centered
• Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education
• Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Has respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery
• Leadership skills demonstrated in decision making and problem solving

Requirements:

• Work schedule: Full Time, 3x12's, Night Shift (7p-7a)
• Education: BSN or ADN (If ADN: must complete/obtain BSN within 5 years of start date)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Prefer 2 years of recent/current RN Emergency/ICU experience
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association & VA RN license
