Pharmacy Intern J ob Responsibilities:
Under the Pharmacist supervision:
- Performs all aspects of medication distribution.
- Manages medication inventory.
- Maintains Automated Dispensing Machine.
- Performs monthly pharmacy inspections per policies/procedures.
- Participates in patient care.
- Participates in department quality improvements projects.
- Develops skills and knowledge base necessary to practice as a pharmacist.
Pharmacy Intern Additional Requirements:
- Work schedule: shift varies (days/evenings rotating shift.)
- Education: High School or GED and enrolled in Pharmacy School.
- Licensure: State of Virginia Pharmacy Technician license or a Pharmacy Intern license .
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
