Inova Fairfax Medical Center is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Lactation Consultant to join the Postpartum Unit. This role will be full-day shift 36 hours/week Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities:
- Provides skilled, compassionate care and coordinates patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Experience: Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | For Critical Care Units: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Within 6 Months | For Pediatric Units: Pediatric Advanced Life Support- Within 6 Months | For Infusion Center Units: Obtain chemo card- within 3 months of hire
- Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
Registered Nurse (RN) Lactation Consultant Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates who currently holds an IBCLC certification.
