What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse PACU Part Time position at Inova Careers?
Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova’s Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is a Part Time (2x10 or 3x8 hour shifts) to cover hours from 8.00am-11.30pm with some on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.

PACU Qualifications
- One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days.
PACU Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years PACU or Critical Care (ICU/ED) RN experience
