Job Title: Windchill PLM Principal Consultant / Architect

Experience: 10 Years

Employment Type: Full-time /C2C

Location: Onsite (Houston, TX)

Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced PLM Solution Architect with strong expertise in PTC Windchill to design, implement, and govern enterprise-scale PLM solutions. The role involves leading architecture, integrations, and delivery across global engineering organizations.

Core Responsibilities & Technical Scope:

• Architecture & Governance:
• Define and deliver end-to-end PLM solution architecture (primarily Windchill).
• Translate business requirements into scalable PLM configurations and workflows.
• Provide technical leadership, governance, and best-practice guidance.
• Act as a senior technical advisor to stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Object Modeling & Configuration:
• Configure New Objects Model Definitions in Windchill.
• Define and configure Sub-types for WTDoc, EPMDoc, and WTPart.
• Implement Classification Management.
• Workflow Development:
• Define Approval Process workflows based on object types and approvers.
• Develop custom workflows utilizing multiple workflow robots, expressions, and custom code.
• Implement security policies based on workflow states.
• Integrations & Publishing:
• Design and manage integrations with CAD, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
• EAM Integration: Update and maintain existing Maximo integration.
• Web API: Update existing custom Web API integrations.
• Publishing: Create custom publishing engines (WTDoc / Adobe AEM) and 3D publishing workflows (Creo/CAD).
• Experience with Windchill SUMA module (Preferred).
• Data Migration:
• Lead Data Migration from Custom DB to Windchill.
• Expertise with WBM (Windchill Bulk Migrator) and/or custom data loading utilities.
• Manage "Load from file," staging files, and custom scheme migration.
• Execute cut-over planning for data migration and production migration.
• Delivery & Support:
• Lead PLM implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Perform Unit testing, Build Submission, and End-to-End Testing.
• Support Training & Adoption and provide Hypercare post-go-live.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 10 years of experience in PLM implementations and architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in PTC Windchill (configuration, customization, integrations).
• Solid understanding of PLM concepts: BOMs, lifecycles, workflows, and change management.
• Experience working with global teams and enterprise environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent

Pay: $150,130.94 - $160,856.61 per year
