Job Overview
InnSeason Resorts is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced full-time Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing for our five New England resorts, as well as managing and executing the organization's accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling statements and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
Our company supports flexible work schedules and offer the ability to structure your workday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m once training is complete. This position will be required to be in the office until training is complete and you are able to work independently. Once achieved, you will be able to move to a hybrid work schedule, working from home 2 days/week.
In alignment with our payroll cycle, this role requires dedicated availability on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Duties
- Process multi-state payroll weekly for managed entities.
- Perform all clock communications, time adjustments and updates for all locations.
- Process all required information for Bonuses and Spiffs.
- Upload and install ADI information into ADP.
- Complete payroll process through preview/acceptance.
- Communicate payroll liabilities to Accounting.
- Process Payroll reports.
- Process all New hire/Status Change/Direct Deposit/Termination information from all locations.
- Maintain awareness of changes in laws and regulations that impact payroll.
- Reconcile insurance invoices with payroll and accounting, monthly.
- Collect and enter payables daily according to guidelines.
- Processed period reporting for payables, bounced checks and, inventory purchasing.
- Process payables weekly and print checks for authorization.
Education/Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in payroll and accounts payable processing field preferred.
- Associates degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts related to payroll.
- Proficiency in using payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Experience in mid sized multifaceted company preferred.
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze data and identify errors or inconsistencies.
- Remain calm during stressful and hectic periods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with account reconciliation processes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information
