The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to translate business requirements into logical and physical data models.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platformsAnalyze business requirements and convert them into structured data solutionsEnsure data models support scalability, performance, and data integrityCollaborate with data engineers, architects, and BI teamsDefine data standards, naming conventions, and best practicesPerform data profiling and gap analysisMaintain documentation for data models and metadataSupport ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing initiativesReview and optimize existing data models for efficiencyEnsure compliance with data governance and security policiesRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related fieldStrong understanding of data modeling concepts (ER diagrams, normalization, dimensional modeling)Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Lucidchart, etc.)Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)Experience with data warehouses and data lakesKnowledge of star and snowflake schemasFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plusPreferred SkillsExperience with Big Data technologies (Hive, Spark)Understanding of master data management (MDM)Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworksExposure to Agile/Scrum environments
