Position Summary


Reporting directly to the CEO the VP, QHSE serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and partners closely with operations, product line, manufacturing, human resources, legal, and leaders across the organization.


The VP, QHSE drives initiatives to improve safety performance, operational reliability, regulatory compliance, quality management systems, environmental stewardship, and risk management across global operations.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the Company's global QHSE strategy aligned with corporate objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Establish a culture of safety, accountability, operational discipline throughout the organization.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for risk management related to health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
  • Advise the executive leadership team on emerging risks, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.

Health, Safety & Security Leadership

  • Establish and maintain a world-class safety management system across all global operations.
  • Drive injury prevention, process safety management, contractor safety, emergency response preparedness, and security programs.
  • Lead investigations of significant incidents and ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Monitor and improve leading and lagging safety performance indicators.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, engagement, training, and accountability.

Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability

  • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
  • Lead environmental risk management programs related to emissions, waste management, spill prevention, water stewardship, and biodiversity protection.
  • Support corporate sustainability initiatives, ESG reporting, and emissions reduction strategies.

Quality Management

  • Establish and oversee global quality management systems, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and applicable certifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, service delivery, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead quality assurance, audits, corrective action programs, and supplier quality initiatives.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable international, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain oversight of management systems including ISO certifications and industry-specific standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Develop governance processes, policies, and performance reporting frameworks.


Qualifications:


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Business, or related discipline required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CQA, CQE, NEBOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Experience

  • 15 years of progressive leadership experience in QHSE, operations, engineering, or related functions.
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience within the oil and gas, energy services, drilling, production, offshore, midstream, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated success leading QHSE organizations across multiple countries and regions.
  • Experience supporting both onshore and offshore operations preferred.
  • Proven track record of improving safety, quality, and environmental performance in complex global organizations.
  • Experience engaging with executive leadership teams, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Team development and succession planning
