What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk position at Innovex Downhole Solutions?
Product un-packaging & un-crating, and coordination of logistics in the receiving of products as per identification & traceability, preservation of product, and other applicable procedures for ensuring product quality and product delivery. Strives for continual improvement of product quality and product delivery in meeting established goals or objectives.
- Thoroughly completes required receiving paperwork that is legible, accurate and on time.
- Conducts inspection & verification of product being received & palleted for ensuring accuracy.
- Coordinates receiving tasks & duties amongst receiving personnel.
- Prioritizes and completes receipts, tasks, or assignments per schedule for ensuring on-time delivery.
- Expedites receipts by effective & proper utilization of time and resources.
- Maintains identification and traceability of all product and shipments.
- Uses packaging equipment and material to ensure product received is protected & safeguarded as per requirements.
- Prepares and packages product in manner that is safe for handling.
- Collaborates with other departments in the coordination of products to be received.
- Always maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Responsible for following company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Job Competencies:

Education (technical and/or commercial):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Job experience (years and type of experience):
- Experience in inventory control procedures and techniques preferred.
- Prefer 1 – 3 year’s work experience in receiving capacity.
- Prefer 1 – 3 years’ work experience in operation of material handling equipment. Skills required:
- Forklift operation qualified.
- Product packaging compliance for local & international shipments.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation; Receiver, Bill of Lading, Packing Slip, Certificate of Origin.
- Proficient in use of packaging equipment such as banding machine, stretch wrapper, and various type of material handling equipment.
- Logistics / shipping company communications & scheduling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
