Role Overview

The IAM Tools Engineering (ITE) team is seeking a Senior AI Test Engineer to lead quality engineering efforts for an AI-enabled, self-service identity platform. This is a hands-on senior role responsible for defining test strategy, building automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality delivery across complex distributed systems.

You will act as a trusted quality partner to product and engineering teams, while also mentoring offshore QA resources and driving modern automation practices aligned with CI/CD pipelines.

Must Have

• Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred) or similar modern frameworks for UI & API automation
• Ability to quickly adopt Playwright if experienced in equivalent tools
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end test strategy (functional, integration, API, UI)
• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for:
• UI testing
• API testing
• Perform hands-on automation and manual testing for complex/high-risk scenarios
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Validate AI-driven capabilities, including:
• Data quality and integrity
• Model output consistency
• Chatbot/conversational AI (nice to have)
• Collaborate early with product and engineering teams to ensure testability and clear acceptance criteria
• Mentor and guide junior/offshore QA engineers
• Identify and mitigate quality and performance risks proactively
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in software testing (web-based applications)
• Proven experience as a senior individual contributor owning quality end-to-end
• Strong expertise in:
• Manual testing
• UI & API automation
• Experience with:
• Playwright (preferred) or equivalent frameworks
• Selenium WebDriver
• C# programming
• BDD (Gherkin)
• CI/CD integration
• Strong understanding of:
• Functional, integration, system, E2E, and non-functional testing
• Experience with Git-based version control
• Strong collaboration skills across onshore/offshore teams

• Performance testing experience (load, stress, endurance)
• Tools: JMeter, BlazeMeter
• BDD tools: SpecFlow / Reqnroll
• Test management: ALM Octane
• Scalable execution tools: LambdaTest HyperExecute
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts (NLP, data systems)
• Experience testing AI chatbots or conversational AI
