Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a portfolio of applications, including External Reporting systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Lead and contribute to Data Center Migration (DCM) initiatives, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation.
- Support and drive DPC (Data Processing Center) efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and operational continuity.
- Provide end-to-end application support, including incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Monitor and manage 20–30 applications simultaneously, ensuring uptime, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Perform application monitoring using tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, and Grafana.
- Troubleshoot issues related to application configuration, connectivity, and server communication.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure proper server interactions and system integrations.
- Manage and maintain Unix-based environments, including scripting and automation.
- Support cloud-based storage solutions, including S3 buckets, ensuring proper access, performance, and security.
- Handle application provisioning, deployments, and environment setup.
- Develop and implement automation solutions in Unix to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
- 7 years of experience in application management / production support roles.
- Strong experience with Unix/Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools:
- AppDynamics
- Splunk
- Grafana
- Experience managing multiple applications in a high-availability enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of application architecture, server communication, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience with data center migration projects.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially AWS S3 storage.
- Experience in application provisioning and environment configuration.
- Experience with automation frameworks and tools in Unix environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise financial systems or external reporting platforms.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
