Podiatrist (DPM) – Senior Care / Long-Term Care
Location: Columbia, SC
Schedule: Full Time / Part time
Practice Setting: Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facilities
Position Overview
We are seeking a Podiatrist (DPM) to provide high-quality foot and ankle care to patients in senior care and long-term care communities throughout the Columbia area with occaisonal float to Charleston. This is an excellent opportunity for a podiatrist seeking flexible scheduling, strong clinical support, and a balanced lifestyle—with no call, no weekends, no nights, and no surgery.
This role is ideal for both experienced podiatrists and new graduates coming directly out of residency.

Practice Details
- Facilities: Long-Term Care / Nursing Facilities
- Facility Size: 80–150 beds
- Daily Visits: Approximately 2 facilities per day
- Patient Volume: 20–40 patients per day
- Territory: Columbia and Charleston, SC area
- Care Model: Mobile / Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Travel to contracted long-term care facilities to provide podiatric services
- Perform comprehensive foot and ankle evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity
- Manage complex diabetic foot conditions in accordance with evidence-based protocols
- Provide general podiatric care including treatment of forefoot and select rearfoot conditions (e.g., hallux valgus, hammertoes, ankle instability, soft tissue and bony pathology)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and prescribe appropriate treatments, including physical medicine and therapy
- Accurately document patient care and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with facility administrators and care teams regarding patient needs
- Participate in outreach and educational events as needed
Qualifications
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
- Board Certified or Board Qualified DPM
- Active South Carolina medical license
- Active Medicare number
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a mobile care environment
