Responsibilities:
- Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system
- Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports.
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
- Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
- Responsible for managing and optimizing the Snowflake platform, including RBAC, SSO integration, and enterprise data governance.
- Enables AI capabilities using Snowflake Cortex while supporting data pipelines with DBT and Openflow.
- Ensures secure, scalable, and cost-efficient data platform operations across environments.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience administering and managing the Snowflake platform in a Database Administrator (DBA) and Snowflake Administrator role, including platform configuration, maintenance, and operational support.
- 8 years of experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), data access governance, and security policies to ensure compliance and controlled access to enterprise data assets.
- 8 years of experience integrating and managing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, including Okta, SailPoint, and enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms.
- 8 years of experience enabling, configuring, and supporting Snowflake AI capabilities, including Snowflake Cortex, AI functions, governance controls, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
- 8 years of experience designing and managing Snowflake roles, privileges, user provisioning, and access management processes aligned with enterprise IAM and security frameworks.
- 8 years of experience developing, implementing, and supporting data pipelines, transformations, and ELT/ETL workflows using DBT (Data Build Tool).
- 8 years of experience integrating Snowflake with Openflow or similar workflow orchestration and automation platforms to streamline data operations and workflow management.
- 8 years of experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Snowflake warehouse performance, query execution, workload management, and cost optimization strategies.
- 8 years of experience implementing enterprise security controls, including data encryption, dynamic data masking, row-level security, audit logging, monitoring, and compliance reporting.
- 8 years of experience developing automation solutions and scripts for provisioning, monitoring, administration, maintenance, and operational efficiency improvements.
- 8 years of experience collaborating with data engineers, data analysts, architects, AI/ML teams, and business stakeholders to support enterprise data, analytics, and AI initiatives.
- 4 years of experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployment processes for cloud-based data platforms.
- 3 years of experience integrating Openflow and other workflow orchestration tools to automate data processing, scheduling, monitoring, and operational workflows.
- 3 years of experience working within public sector, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and governance requirements.
