Innovative Vision is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our practice located in Montgomery, OH.
At Innovative Vision, we see patients for a range of eyecare needs -- from routine vision screenings and contact lens evaluations to management of cataracts, glaucoma, and more. Our office includes an optical boutique where patients can also be styled and fitted for eyewear. The front desk plays an important role by greeting visitors, checking patients in and out, maintaining prescriptions and communications for the doctors, and more. We are looking for a friendly receptionist who is organized, multi-tasked oriented, and enjoys working with patients of all ages.
Medical Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and other visitors when they arrive.
- Schedule appointments with the doctors and opticians.
- Field phone calls and respond to emails.
- Answer patient questions and provide assistance when necessary.
- Verify insurance and patient information.
- Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and check to ensure that required fields are completed properly.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Apply and collect co-pays, out-of-pocket amounts, and product charges.
- Scan patient charts and records into electronic health records (EHR).
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of customer service experience
- Proficiency with computers
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Preferred:
- Medical office experience
- Familiarity with vision insurance (VSP/Eyemed)
- Previous training with EHR (e.g. RevolutionEHR).
