Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled X-ray Technician/Medical Assistant to join our team at Innovative Urgent Care. This dual-role position requires expertise in both radiologic imaging and clinical support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiologic imaging procedures.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, exposure settings, and radiation protection.
- Maintain and operate X-ray equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Take patient histories, measure vital signs, and record information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
- Provide patient education and support for follow-up care and instructions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked examination rooms and work areas.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an X-ray Technician
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or Nurse Tech
- Current and valid state licensure for radiologic technology
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an urgent care, emergency room, or primary care setting preferred.
- Strong technical skills in radiologic imaging and clinical procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
