Innovative Therapy Concepts (ITC) is a therapist-owned and operated therapy management organization founded by Joe Sapp, PT in 2006. We partner with OrthoGeorgia to manage all therapy operations. We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

This opportunity allows the COTA to work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) and other rehab professionals, delivering meaningful interventions aimed at helping patients improve independence and function in daily life activities. The caseload includes both surgical and non-operative orthopedic conditions affecting the upper extremity, spine, and other areas that impact daily living tasks.

Summary

Administers occupational therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). Helps patients develop, regain, or maintain daily living and work skills through therapeutic use of everyday activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities (IADLs) through graded therapeutic interventions
  • Implement treatment plans as directed by the OT, including use of therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, functional tasks, and adaptive equipment
  • Educate and motivate patients in compensatory strategies, joint protection, energy conservation, and functional adaptations
  • Assist with custom orthosis fitting/training and upper extremity rehabilitation where appropriate
  • Observe and document patients’ responses and progress toward treatment goals; report findings to supervising OT
  • Instruct patients and caregivers in home programs to support continued progress
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning and coordination
  • Support the onboarding and mentorship of new COTAs or rehab aides as needed
  • Complete routine administrative tasks including inventory, documentation, and communication with referring providers or staff

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Georgia (or eligible)
  • NBCOT certification required
